I am interested in developing and deploying participatory GIS (P-GIS), participatory modelling (PM), and big data analytics solutions for use by farmers and school children in villages.

·       School children, village youth and others can gather information about wells, streams, farms, etc. in their village using mobile apps (e.g. download our android apk and its user guide). They can prepare GIS maps using our simplified Quantum GIS plugin.

·       Farmers can visualize the gathered information using these GIS maps, and build and validate simplified models of their world. They can then use these models to carry out ‘what-if’ scenario analysis and make decisions through consensus.

·       As they start gathering and analyzing large amount of information, they can use AI/ML techniques and spatial analytics for identifying patterns and making decisions.
